Hi All,
In our daily life we portray a ceratin personality and we believe that this is our real self. But what we portray as our real self on a daily basis is actually a reflection of what others what us to be.In the long run therefore,we tend to fail to identify our real self.We become alienated from what we really are and we look at ourselves as a "stranger".
For instance, you may be an introvert and a shy person from within but, you may get into a profession which would require you to communicate and interact with innumerable people on a daily basis. Here, you are trying to portray yourself as a communicator and an extrovert (which you are not from within). So,you are actually trying to "fit in" to the given environment.
In this article we shall discuss about how we can identify the stranger within us.The kind of person that we are from within is our real identity,so do not misinterpret your personality by taking into consideration your outward personality. There are few ways by which we can identify ourselves with the stranger within us.
1)We have lot of thoughts running in the background of our mind.We get so involved with our daily activities and responsibilities that we fail to give time to "listen" to our inner voice. We need to take some time out to realize as to what is it that you really want from within.Unless and until we listen to our inner voice we will never be able to realize what is it that we want to achieve in life.
2)It is our inner self that drives us to achieve our goals. Therefore,it is very essential that we have a good communication with our inner self. The moment we lose contact with our inner self we actually lose contact with ourself and life becomes a chaos. So first comminicate with your inner self before you communicate with the world outside.
3)Trust your instinct as it will never let you down.Identify your interests and practise them.If you are fond of sports of a certain kind, take out some time to practise that. This will help you build a strong bond between you and the stranger within you.
4)Recall things and incidents that have made you happy in life.Look for methods by which you can keep others happy without hurting your inner self.
We are terming our inner self as a "Stranger" because in todays competitive world we all want to prove our skills and talents and in this process we tend to alienate ourselves with who we really are.In the long run we tend to develop a personality that is far away from our real self. Thus, our inner self becomes a "Stranger" to us.
Therefore,do not be a "Stranger" to yourself.Take out time to be one with your inner self which is your real identity,Identify "THE STRANGER WITHIN" yourself.
Regards,
Kavita
