Ensuring Job Stability

Hi All,

In the past few articles we have been discussing about how can we build a successful career. But,in order to have a successful career,we also need to be stable in our job.In this article we shall discuss about the ways by which we can ensure job stability.

We generally accept a job only after complete verification and after ensuring that we get a good work environment, good pay package, growth in career etc. But,once we start working we tend to forget our goal. The question arises as to why do most of us look for a change in job as soon as we join a company? The stability is in question here. This problem of instability generally arises in case of fresh graduates who want to achieve the ultimate in no time.

In order to achieve success,we need to work hard with sincerity and commitment.Today we find people switching jobs every 6 mths or even more frequently. This is absolutely a disaster for a successful career. To be successful, one needs to be a part of a company for atleast 1-2 yrs.Only then they will be able to know the company well and would be able to identify your growth prospects in the company.

There are several reasons for an individual's job instability. The following are few of the reasons:

1)Not satisfied with the infrastructure of the company.

2)Unhealthy relationship with seniors.

3)Aggressive in nature, cant get along with people.

4)Fickle minded, cant stick to one thing for a long time.

5)Extremely casual towards his/her career.

6)Looks for easy money, cant put in hard work.

7)Not satisfied with the management of the company.

8)Carried away by a better pay package offered by another company.

The above are some of the reasons why employees change their jobs frequently. We generally forget that by switching jobs frequently,we are not only losing better financial prospects but we are also missing out on good career prospects.Companies generally do not hire people who have changed jobs very frequently.Do not change jobs just bacause you are being offered a better pay in another company. If you keep switching jobs frequently due to a better pay, then firstly, you will not be able to establish a stable and successful career and secondly, you will be recognized as an unstable employee which will hamper your prospects of getting a good job.

Maintain the integrity and the ethics of your company.Do not perform any act that will violate the compliance and integrity of your comapny.Work within the integrity of the company and respect your job only then you will be able to value it.

In order to maintain stability in your job,you need to keep your focus on the goal that you need to achieve. You should try to avoid any kind of unhealthy relationship with any of our colleagues.Remember one thing that all your seniors and other colleagues have established their positions in the company. They have been able to achieve their goal only because they have been stable in their job. They had their focus and determination towards their goals and so they could achieve it.So stop looking around you and stay away from people who always speak negative and concentrate on your task and the goal that you need to achieve to establish a successful career.

If you keep the above in mind, you will not only ensure stability in your job,but will also be able to establish a successful career.

Regards,

Kavita
