How to make a Perfect Resume

A Resume is a medium by which we present ourselves to an organization in order to get a job.Therefore,a Resume plays a very important role and so we need to be careful if we want to make a Perfect Resume.In this article we shall discuss as to what are the things that needs to be taken care of while making a Resume.

1)A Resume should be created in Microsoft Word Document.Do not ever use Microsoft Excel or Powerpoint to make your resume.

2)Avoid using colour fonts as it looks very catchy to the eyes and is not impressive at all.

3)The ideal font size would be 12 and font style would be "Times New Roman".

4)Do not print your Resume in glossy papers or scented papers as they leave a very negative mark.

5)Keep your Resume short,precise and to the point.Do not write an essay in your Resume.Describe your profile in short sentences prefarably in bullet points.

6)Do not use vague language and avoid spelling mistakes.Do not use statements like "I would like to be on top of the world" because that would not make any sense to the recruiter.

7)Do not write negative remarks about your previous organization.If you wish to mention the reason for leaving your previous job,you may say that you were looking for a growth in your career and so you looked for a change in job.

8)In hobbies & interests,mention any specialized skills that you may have.Do not mention common hobbies like surfing the net or watchiing television.Mention skills that would help you in the job that you are looking for.

9)Be honest about your Educational qualification and work experience.Do not build your resume on a lie.

10)You may take online tips on the format of your resume,but do not copy it as it is.If you do so it will reflect that you are not creative enough to make your own CV.

Therefore,make sure you do not overdo anything on your Resume.Do not make it look like a colourful greeting card.Keep it short and precise as recruiters have to go through innumerable resume's on a daily basis.Therefore,make your Resume interesting and in a way that it covers all the necessary information about your career.Remember,your Resume is the best tool to sell yourself,therefore make the most out of it.
