The Current Job Market Scenario

Hi All,

We are all aware of the fact that everyone is affected by recession the the market. This has certainly affected the corporate lives and our jobs as well. This is ceratinly a tough time for those who have had to give up their jobs.It is even more vulnerable for those who have a record of switching jobs frequently.

The current job scenario is such that the market is flooded with deserving professionals, but unfortunately there are very few vacancies. So,it is always best to continue with your present job, rather than losing your job in search for monetary gains. As it is said,it is better to have something rather than to have nothing.

In this kind of job scenario it is very essential that you make your presence felt in your organization by your good work.Avoid taking leaves as that may not work in your favour.Develop a good network both within and outside your office so that you have a strong contact that may help you in future.

Develop multi-tasking as that will help you to take up more job responsilbilities at a time.Be proactive, dont wait for your seniors to give you a particular task, take the initiative and approach your senior showing that you are interested and keen to take up responsibilities at work.

Be positive.Do not ever think "What if I lose my Job keeping in mind the current job scenario?".Remember that if you are hard working and productive, your organization would never let you go,even in a market slowdown.Even in the current scenario, there definitely is a demand for deserving and skilled employees.

So,if you are among those who are productive, responsible, hard working, focussed and sincere towards your work, you will never lose your job. Therefore, when you plan your career make sure you make a long-term plan and avoid switching jobs frequently. That's how you can have a successful career.
